We are a group of people
dedicated to providing direct financial support for in need individuals living
with AIDS and HIV disease.
A client generally will have
unexpected medical and other expense as they progress through this dread
disease, this makes it difficult to follow a budget, particularly on reduced,
fixed incomes. We are not a hand out but here to help those folk who are helping
themselves survive this disease.
Clients know they can depend on us when a need arises, we need to know we can
depend on you to make sure the money is here. With reduced funding from the
governments at hand, we will depend more on you to help us. All checks are made
out to vendors, all clients names and information are kept confidential via a
numbering system, contributions may also be confidential if you choose.
Another service we offer is a helping hand. If a PLWA needs help moving, mowing,
cleaning, driving, shopping, going to a movie or lunch-we are there. As an
extended family, we are called on to do many things to support our friends to
keep them warm, fed, and in a place to live.
Our volunteer meeting is each Tuesday at 7:00 at The Rainbow Center, 2020
Ingleside Drive behind the Econo Lodge. Please drop by anytime to observe or
help, you’ll be welcomed. Remember to fight AIDS, not people living with AIDS.
